Playing Russian Roulette

A few years ago there was a concert special on TV that caught my attention and after listening to one song I couldn't turn them off. There name is Dispatch and they *were* a garage band that made it, so of course right from the beginning I completely loved them. Thinking back to the bands that I have listened to in garages and parks...imagine if they made it. By this point I was intrigued as to why I was watching them in Madison Square Gardens and why they continued to thank everyone for coming out for their reunion weekend. I did some digging and it turns out the band comprised of three friends who traveled to South Africa to do some volunteer work several years back and as their song states "distance is short when your hand carries what your eye found". Basically after seeing South Africa they couldn't chase their own dreams and dissolved the band, started up a non-profit and work in Africa helping where they can. When they run out of money they join back together and travel to the US performing a few concerts to get more funding for their work. They are coming to Colorado June 3rd, 4th, and 5th (they had to add two extra dates because they sell out so quickly). I bought tickets to this epic event even though my due date is May 21st. So hopefully I will be able to leave new little baby girl at home with Joe and support a truly amazing band, but if not I will give the tickets away and know that my small contribution will help a child around the world.
