Showings....

We had three showings on Saturday which is amazing since it was the first day it was listed.  I have all new respect for people who sell their homes.  I spent all morning cleaning, packing and yelling only to throw the kids, the dogs and the clutter in the car and drive off mere seconds before the first showing was scheduled   I spent all day hanging out at my parents house with the circus and then drove two little girls without naps all the way home listening to the delightful sound of Tyler screaming that she wanted to hold my hand and a very tired Austin crying because her little sister was crying.  Perfect.  I say all of this tongue in cheek because today picture with me if you will...I was busy making my bed at 11:29 when my Mom called and asked what I was up to, I told her making my bed and she said Hmmm, I thought you would be gone already.  Blink...blink... I then asked why would I be gone?  She replied with well you have a showing at 11:30.  D'Oh!  I told the girls to pretend that they were in timeout and sit on the couch (which of course caused a lot of tears) as I ran around like a mad women vacuuming some of the cereal on the floor and eating the rest.  Luckily they were late and we managed to miss them, but wow was that stressful.  I pulled up to Joe's shop in my PJ's, sweat running down  my face with the girls lacking shoes and coats.  Joe being Joe asked, would you like to go have lunch?  ***Smile*** Nah, I'll just skip that little embarrassing treat today.

I caved

Oh my goodness did I cave.  So I was out shopping for a dress for the wedding and could not find anything, I mean not even ones to try on.  Apparently selling spring/summer dresses in Colorado does not take place in February.  As a last ditch effort I drove to David's Bridal.  I knew that I was out of my league when there was first and foremost a receptionist and secondly she asked me if I had an appointment.  I explained to her (in a nervous shaky voice) that I was leaving for my wedding this weekend and was trying desperately hard not to wear a big ol' wedding dress, especially since I will have to carry it with me.  She smiled and congratulated me and called up Ashley.  Let's talk about Ashley for a second, this poor women is so upbeat that I know it has to be brought on by a long line a pill popping back alleys but aside from that, do you realize that the women that help you at a bridal boutique actually dress you?  Yep you heard that right, me standing there naked and stretch marked to beat the band while she shimmys dresses over my head and buttons them up for me.  All the while smiling, this is where the obvious drug use comes into play.  Saying things like "do you feel like a 10, I'm looking for a 10?".  Finally after covering me, Ashley and large grouping of dresses in sweat I found the one.  Any women reading this will understand...that dress you put on and actually like looking at yourself in the mirror even though the lighting is horrible and still have on white socks. Yeah that one.  So I threw the budget out the window and am going to wear an actual effin' wedding dress to my "casual beach wedding".  Luckily Joe will still be in super casual along with all of our guests since after all I have been promising everyone, you know since I was a young women that I would never wear a wedding dress. ;-)

Bathrooms

In preparation to selling our home (now that the second offer was actually accepted on the ...YAY) we had our three bathrooms updated.  It's kind of sad that we have been putting this off for 8 years now because they turned out so beautiful.

Here is the upstairs main bathroom, we put in a granite counter top and the most expensive tile since it's the big bathroom.

The view looking out of the main bathroom.

Here is Joe and I's bathroom in our bedroom.

And with the door closed.
